—ABOUT—

So, you want to know a bit more about me and what i do. Good because i spend alot of time on the computer, infact, so much time that it has become an absolute obsession to spend as many hours a day on the ineternet as i can. I get abused by my family regularly, taumented by friends because i no longer enjoy socialising and punished when the freakin internet bills come in. I have spent nearly 8 years computing now and have used a number of operationg systems including Windows 3.1, 95, 98 - Macintosh OS - Amiga. I spend alot of time using computers and learning what is going on in the computer industry. The first real 'fun' experience i ever had with computer was back in 1994. Playing around with dialup accounts to get free internet seemed to become a very exciting thing to do, and internet bills soon became a thing of the past! I had obtained one account in particular i won't forget, that had been, shall i say, a friend of a friends next door neighbours account and started using it fairly heavily. Unfortunantly because i was new to this area of tampering i did not know that there was a unwritten law that says you should not use these "free accounts" for more than say 4 days. Anyway i kept using the account for the best part of 3 months. Soon after i had finished with this account (because i couldn't log into it anymore) i recieved a lovely letter in the mail. It read "Dear Mr and Mrs 'Addict' we have found that somehow your son has obtained login information that is confidential to one of our internet customers. We would like to remind you that this is a direct breach of the Australia Fraud Laws. We have decided not to call the authorities, although, as a result of your sons actions we request that you send $3600 asap to Internet Australia. We hope you will co-operate with us so we can put this unfortunate situation behind us. We have also informed all local isp's of what has happened and i am sure they will not be as tolerant as we have been." Well my parents were impressed! I ended up paying that bill off about three weeks before i wrote this(j/k). What the isp didn't realise was that i was not from Melbourne where this isp had its main office. So basically apart from the cost i got away pretty easily. After this happened i decided to upgrade from a Macintosh LC575 to an IBM. Ever since i have clocked up many hours on the computer and quickly filled up 3 4gig hard drives with stuff i cannot bring myself to trash. I use Netscape Navigator to browse on the www and i use a number of other programs for editing the web pages i do such as this one. From the moment i was introduced to ircle, the chat client on the macintosh, i have become a fixture amongst irc networks around the world. I started on Efnet where i quickly became an affiliate to #cracks and started learning EZines and basic C++ patching for shareware and freeware. From here i somehow landed on a network called austnet where i spend alot of time just chatting. I am very interested in hacking and although it is nearly impossible to get into this area with the Microsoft winblows OS, i try to make myself notice amongst some of the prominant hacking figures. I will definantly have a large part in the future internet and hope that you will support me in whatever area on the computer i decide to take.
